hi, I´m not sure whether i got you right for my German is pretty rusty but why do you wanna leave Germany? ok, anyways, if you wanna work with an American contract(i guess also with a German) you first gotta care about a permanent residentship or Visa ( make sure it allows you to work in the states). Then make sure you know what you wanna do and search for job offers... What about you asking this question in Yahoo USA? There´ll probably local people answer you (for I am from NYC) :-)

Geh aufs Konsulat und erkundige dich. Die haben meist eine gute Vorstellung von dem was dich dort erwartet.
Dann würde ich mir darüber hinaus bei amerikanischen Firmen bewerben.
